I love this stubbly tree in our local park and the way the shadows frolic around and over it.
Zorro’s picture: all attention should go to that magnificent caudal appendage of his. It beckons the hapless. It lures the unwary. Yet watch out, for this is a dangerous ticking time-bomb that can go off any moment now, but instead of tick-tick it goes swish-swish…
The book "Tales from the House of Chaos" has been published with ISBN 978-1-4092-0781-8 as its number. Available immediately at Lulu.com, available soon at other outlets like Amazon.com.
Just to remind you, we have 9 main players in this game (besides some extras):
Loup-Garou Mafkat
("wherewolf" crazy/sleepy cat) - black with a little bit of white, très couch-potato
Bean Sidhe WOAH-He’s-Big-!
(a.k.a. Banshee "wailing ghost" = mythical Irish ghost/typical outcry of any visitor) - white and orange tabby part Maine Coon, trying to grow larger than the kitchen counter is high
Hrimnir de WC-plonzer, Protteke
("Shrouded with Frost" = mythical Norse giant/the toilet-plunger/little fart) - white, grey and cream tabby part Norwegian Forestcat, slowly turning into a very solid bloke indeed
Freya Gastropode
("Norse Goddess of love, beauty and fertility/Stomach on Legs") - female grey tabby gastropod, mommy of Isegrim, tries to convince us that she is eternally starving and needs to be fed NOW
Isegrim Dondersteen
("Grey Helmet/very busy critter") - iron grey with faint tabby markings, son of Freya, "dondersteen" could also be interpreted as "stone that falls very very hard" because as I'm typing this he's 5 years old and weighing 5.5 kilos...
Rikishi Rotzakske
("Stong Man" in Japanese/"Rotten One" or "Bad One") possibly half-brother of Gorgor, ginger shorthair tabby with white socks and breast, the most wild of the two youngsters and prone to attack when angry; known to ambush those bigger and fiercer than himself
Bliksem (“Lightning”)
A feral young tomcat who dwells in the House of Chaos solely for eats and sleeps. Faster than his shadow hence his name.
Chuck sNorris van Droomwereld
Chuck van Droomwereld ("of Dreamworld") is his pedigree name, the rest refers to a well-known martial arts actor and "snor" actually means moustache. This is a very silent Maine Coon with majestical whiskers who's never heard but quite well seen - fleeing at least. He should aspire more to be like his namesake !!
Chateau Beau van Spinnepoes aka Beauregard
"Castle Beauty of Purpuss" is his pedigree name but I like his new name better (regard means both looking and esteem). He's gorgeous and he knows it. He also has the cutest high-pitched mew which sounds strange coming from such a big beast. And he's still growing.
Also starring:
Grumpy Man, The Mistress, Bouncing Psycho, The Strong Woman of Flanders, The Lord of Toys, The Cleaning Scourge, The Man in White, and the occasional hapless visitor.
